           Management activities

Monitoring activities: 20.01.2011 - 31.12.2011

  • observe project execution so that potential problems were identified in a timely manner and corrective action could be taken

  • measuring the ongoing project activities
  • monitoring the project variables against the project management plan and the project performance baseline in order to identify corrective actions to address issues and risks properly

  • correction of errors
  • Reporting

  • Preparation and reporting of Progress Reports and Application of Reimbursement to JTS

               Development of the cross border collaboration support frame

    Organization of the Joint Courses for the 1st semester

  • 2 Courses on the following themes „HU-RO Cross Border Cooperation in History” and „European Financing Programs” were taught in the 1st semester at the University of Oradea by a Hungarian Professor. The Professor and the 10 PhD students from Hungary traveled to Oradea

  • Organization of the Joint Courses for the 2nd semester

  • In the 2nd semester 2 courses were taught: „Frontiers & Borders” and „Border Area Extreme Events Management” at the University of Debrecen, by two Romanian Professors; the Professor and the 10 PhD students from Romania travelled to Debrecen

  • Development of the E-Learning Program: 01.02.2011 - 31.12.2011

  • 2 Joint Courses were offered by the E-learning Program, through Synchronous training - The 20 PhD Students joined the learning sessions on-line across the virtual classroom by advanced communication technologies. The following courses were taught using this system: „Joint tourism development” and „Euroregions” in the 1st semester, taught by 2 professors from Romania.

  • 2 Joint Courses were offered by the E-learning Program, through Synchronous training - The 20 PhD Students joined the learning sessions on-line across the virtual classroom by advanced communication technologies. The following courses were taught using this system: „Project Management” and „European strategies for universities” by one Professor from Debrecen, in the second semester.

  • Workshop organization: 01.07.2011

  • 1 workshop of one day long took place in Bihor focused on best practices exchange in high education

  • Summer school organization: 21.08.2011 - 27.08.2011

  • A week-long summer school was organized in Hajdu-Bihar County for PhD Students. The activity brought together 20 PhD students with 20 professors & researchers from the 2 universities.



  •            Collaboration for sharing the research and education resources from both universities

    Activities for support of joint using of the material resources-organization of the 1st Study Visit: 31.03.2011

  • The 1st Study Visits of one day long was organized, in Oradea on 31.03.2011, participants: 20 PhD students and 20 professors and researchers (10 from each university) participated.

  • Activities for support of joint using of the material resources-organization of the 2nd Study Visit: 29.11.2011

  • 20 PhD students and 20 professors and researchers (10 from each university) participated to the Second Study Visit in Debrecen. Support for international travel was offered.

  • Activities for increasing the material resources base by purchasing new released scientific titles

  • In order to increase the quality of the scientific resources, each of the two partners has purchased 300 new released scientific titles (in English) for their department library.

  • Development of E-LIBRARY program on the project website

  • in order to increase accessibility to the new scientific titles, on the project website was initiated the development of an E LIBRARY Section - containing the scientific titles mentioned above on electronic version.
